LOCATION

Mary MacKillop College is situated in the northeastern Brisbane suburb of Nundah, 12.5 kilometres and less than 15 minutes from the CBD. The main entrance to our College is located at 60 Bage Street.

The College, being only a short distance from Sandgate Road, is well-serviced by public transport. Toombul train station is located a short 100 metres from the College and all students travelling by train must use this station for arrival and departure.​




FACILITIES​​

2025 - The McCormack Building, the most ambitious project undertaken by the College in the last decade, is complete. Featuring STEM laboratories, a state-of-the-art Library, flexible learning spaces, large undercroft and modern amenities, this learning precinct is a beacon of innovation and excellence - a testament to our commitment of providing an exceptional educational environment for our students and staff. ​

2024 - Construction for the new McCormack Building, staff carpark and general learning area classrooms in Maryvale.

2018 - ​​Revitalisation of our Library, which has now become a vibrant engaging, contemporary learning space. The Library is digitally interactive and encourages reading and collaborative learning. ​​​​Wireless connectivity is available across the campus.


2017 - Completion of the refurbishment of the Penola Building classrooms. ​​​Our renovated learning spaces are open, and flexible and include breakout spaces into the dynamic corridor areas. Each room contains flexible furniture and tech connections, affording great pedagogical opportunities for engaged and deep learning. 


2014 - A multi-stage redevelopment of the Fitzroy Building (Visual and Art and Textiles complex, classrooms and flexible learning areas), Portland (Science laboratories) Sisters of St Joseph Cultural Centre (Music and Drama Facilities), and MacKillop Plaza (a boulevard and outdoor performance space). These centres were opened in August and have been wonderful additions to our learning spaces.


2013 - The completion of the impressive Joanna Barr Smith Centre which hosts a new administration complex, eatery, Home Economics and Hospitality Kitchens, and Bluestones Restaurant.

2012 - After many years of strategic planning, the program commenced with the construction and opening of the Tappeiner Sports Centre in 2012; including refurbishment of the surrounding sports court.
